Job Description
As a Magnetic Sensor Development Engineer, you will be innovating from proof of concept designs through manufacturable solutions to bring the next generation of magnetic sensing technology to the Robert Bosch product portfolio. Your creative solutions will synthesize requirements and unique selling points into core transducing design and integration that add differentiation and value to our customers’ applications.
Job Tasks:
Coordination with external foundries, research institutes, universities, and suppliers to develop and implement new magnetic process technology
Photomask layout and prep in accordance with evolving process technology requirements
Perform and analyze measurements on development device structures
Development of new state-of-the art magnetic sensor device designs
Custom device layout and simulation
Draw conclusions from large data sets, separating contributions form interacting variables
Design of Experiments creation and data analysis
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Ph.D. or M.S. and 3+ years of experience in Physics, electrical engineering, or a related field
Experience in magnetism and magnetic materials
Laboratory experience including troubleshooting electronic test and characterization setups
Programming experience with data and statistical analysis of large data sets with Matlab and Python
Experience with experimental methodology, prototype device characterization, data analysis, and design refinement
Preferred Qualifications
Magnetic device design and characterization of sensors, recording heads or MRAM
Experience with standard layout tools and photo mask prep (e.g. Cadence, Mentor Graphics, K-Layout).
Programming experience with Labview and Excel VBA
Familiarity with CMOS backend and/or redistribution layer processes and integration
Familiarity with consumer sensors is a plus
Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
Proficiency to work independently within a larger team driven program
