Postdoc Opening in Computational Spintronics at University of Nebraska
A post-doctoral position in computational spintronics is available immediately in the group of Prof. Evgeny Tsymbal at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Nebraska-Lincoln (http://tsymbal.unl.edu). The research work involves spin-dependent properties of twisted oxide heterostructures involving complex ferroic behavior and unconventional electronic, magnetic, and transport properties. Required qualifications include PhD in condensed matter physics/materials science, expertise in electronic band structure and transport calculations, interest in collaboration with experimentalists, and good communication skills. Expertise in computational methods, such as VASP, Quantum ESPRESSO, Wannier90, and related techniques, will be considered as an advantage.
Initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement and availability of funding. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Interested candidates should submit an application letter, curriculum vitae, list of publications, and contact information for at least two references by email: tsymbal@unl.edu. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
