Postdoc position on reservoir computing using MTJ at Aarhus University, Denmark
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aarhus University, invites applicants for a 2 year postdoc position, offering applicants an exciting opportunity to join a new research project on the implementation of complex AI networks, comprising neurons and synapses, in a single spintronic nano-scale device (i.e. Magnetic tunnel junction) using granularity for the first time. The successful applicant will be part of a Villum Experiment project called Spin-grain funded by Villum Founden.
We are looking for an enthusiast researcher (post-doctoral researcher) who wishes to investigate the possibility of implementing a reservoir in a single nano-scale MTJ to be used in a reservoir computing system. It includes modifying and strengthening the granularity of the magnetic layer in a single MTJ in a way that it can be able to classify different handwritten digit inputs with acceptable accuracy.
The position is available from 1 January 2022 or as soon as possible hereafter.
The deadline for applications will be 5 November 2021.
