Postdoctoral position for femtosecond absorption spectroscopy of magnetic membranes at University of Wisconsin-Madison
The Wisconsin Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) has an immediate job opening for a postdoctoral position. The successful candidate will lead the research program on ultrafast magnetism in 2D strained membrane materials at the XUV femtosecond absorption spectroscopy tabletop (X-FAST) national user facility operated by MRSEC. In addition, the candidate will run the X-FAST user program and upgrade the facility for a THz pump and various sample environment capabilities.
The candidate should have a strong experimental background in experimental X-ray, laser, THz, or related research. Experience with ultrafast spectroscopy including THz and materials science is preferred. At the start of employment, the candidate must hold a PhD in Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
