Post Doc Res Assoc – Department of Physics & Astronomy, University of Wyoming

The Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Wyoming is seeking to fill a Postdoctoral Scholar position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in physics, materials sciences, or a closely related area. The successful candidates will participate in the research program of Prof. Jifa Tian’s research lab (https://tianjifa.wixsite.com/nano) to investigate the nontrivial topological superconductivity in two-dimensional (2D) superconductors. The project involves 2D materials preparation and handling, quantum device (superconducting Josephson Junctions) fabrication, and transport measurements (superconducting qubits characterization) at low temperatures. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated ability to carry out effective and productive research, demonstrated ability for effective communication with faculty, staff, and students, and experience in at least one of the above-mentioned areas.
