The National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, MD has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position in Paul Haney's condensed matter theory group. The research focus is on magnetic topological systems, such as doped topological insulators and Moiré systems, with applications to spintronics and metrology. Experience in electronic structure calculations, quantum transport, spintronics and related topics is desired. This project encompasses collaboration with experimental groups within the lab. Our group is situated in a multidisciplinary environment and engagement with other groups is encouraged. Note that American citizenship is not required for this position.
The position is for 2 years with a possibility of a 3rd year extension. Candidates should send a curriculum vitae (with publication list and at least 2 references) and a research statement to firstname.lastname@example.org.
